The constant yet pleasingly warm pressure of the shower was most appreciated on Rogue’s shoulders. She’d been through a lot lately with her stay at the Jean Grey School, as well as everything leading up to what had become her life. Images of friends turned against one another and years upon years of turmoil seemed to fade in and out of her mind. Pushing it away as best she could, she in turn concentrated on the good things in her life. She was amongst friends once again, spending time in a familiar setting closer to those that she cared about. Though some of her closest allies were missing she still found her decision to be there a positive one.

While Rogue let her thoughts drift away, she barely registered her shower door closing and a very welcome presence making itself known in her spacious personal shower. She smiled before he even said a word, climbing in to join her within the waters spray.

“Ya know, a Lady could get the wrong impression with a man sneaking up on her like that Sug’, “she remarked, the cheerfulness in her tone registering through her accent.

“D’accord Cherie, but when has Gambit eve’ given you de wrong impression eh?” the mutant thief shot back as he easily snuck into shower, turning the formerly untouchable mutant woman around so he could stare into her eyes.

“Hmm, Plenty of times come to mind right bout now,” she smiled back but held him close, reveling in the pure sensation of his warm body pressed against hers. Neither living in fear of what the worst could be, only enjoying what the present was.

“An’ whad’ you got to say bout Ol Remy this time Rogue?” he smiled, his red eyes shining against the blackness surrounding them, like hope in their increasingly dark lives.

“Jus that Ah’m glad that you’re here,” she stated matter of factly, the sincerity in her voice not lost on the card throwing Cajun as he held her close before loosely breaking the embrace to grab the soap.

She sighed softly as his hands ran down across her back. She recalled previous times when fate had allowed them the briefest of moments together. She used to yearn and scream for those moments, cursing each time her abilities took them away. As he worked up a gentle lather on her back, Rogue closed her eyes. Painful memories fading with each slow circle, a soft almost purr like giggle coming up into her voice as she felt his hands wander.

“Remy! You keep doin that, Ah ain’t gonna want to leave this shower,” she moaned softly against him. Truth be told, she could easily and quite happily stay with him like this for ever.

“You sayin’ that like is’ a problem Rogue?” he smirked back, knowing full well that she wouldn’t stop his actions in anyway. However the noted thief decided to stay honest with his intentions, or rather as honest as they could be given their current situation.

Rogue started to comment back, but she was taken away from her thoughts as she felt his hands massage her back gently. She knew that they would have to talk about things at the school later on, as well as their lives. For the moment however, none of that mattered to her.
