It's been real and good. We got up on stage and hopefully rocked. I feel like I blacked out the whole stage experience. It's weird when that happens. When I got up there I wasn't terrified at all. I didn't even care that it took so long to set-up infront of the audience. I was ofcourse a little nervous, I saw a girl in the croud about 15 years old really nodding her head to our music and i just focused on that, so i did a few stunts lol. Then i think more people started to get into it and dancing lol. I can see what the bassist from juliette lewis was saying to me about finding your inspiration from the crowd sometimes. (Oh yeah juliette was playing today at alexandra palais, but i just heard about it today. It should be good exposure for them as they're supporting a well liked band like the darkness.)
Matt couldn't make it so we had someone come in yesterday and learn the song. The guy did really well , missed 1 beat but it was hardly noticable. Kat looked stunning- 1940's style, lewis was lewis and i guess i was me. We all looked good, i must say lol.
I had to cut out the rude words in my lyrics like f0rk, cause a small % of the crowd we're kids.
We got a really big cheer, so that was kool. Some guys from the other band, came up to me after the gig and said i reminded them of the yeah yeah yeahs and our band was very thrashy. So that was kool. I think we've inmproved.
Lewis got some little kids adsking for his autograph, so that was amusing.
Wish Matt was there, he's got great stage pressence, even if he is just the drummer. I definitily feed off him.
Well for now it's back to the drawing board and studio. So we can figure out some new tunes.
