A Very Bad Fanfic Waiting to Happen: Hunger Games 4 the Kdrama by Carol and Nicole
Just after my phone was returned by Providence (a tall skinny bro guy in a hoodie) (don't go outside on cold medicine, kids), we had this conversation while Carol was in class, which I don't understand, because I assume listening to lecture is kind of important in grad school??
(uh don't read this, Sarah, there's a spoiler for the third book therein)
Carol: didn't annie have grandkids?
Carol: or something though? @_@
Nicole: uh at least a kid
Nicole: That doesn't make Finnick being dead okay tho
Carol: no I meant by that was: I'm surprised she was able to move on
Carol: since she seemed pretty broken in the book
Nicole: Well, the kid was finnick's so it's not like she found someone else
Nicole: if that's what you mean
Carol: Ooooo
Carol: I didn't know it was his ._."

Carol: I thought she just had random kids with some other person and was like DAHECK?!

Carol: you'd find that finnick is alive, but has amnesia and is being brainwashed by secret capitol ppl
Carol: and then comes back to try to kill them, but his love for annie will bring him back
Carol: and she'll have a kid, but he won't know it's his
Carol: and want to hate the kid, but somehow doesn't hate the kid
Nicole: And it will have cancer?
Carol: ok... maybe I have watched too many ._."

Carol: no katniss will have cancer
Carol: or ANNIE
Carol: omg yes, annie will have cancer
Carol: and he will remember near the end
Nicole: No, he will see doctor results that say YOU HAVE CANCER and katniss will be holding them so he won't know that ANNIE is dying until it's TOO LATE
Nicole: I HATE THIS AU I'M SAD NOW :(
Nicole: She'll like die just before the first snow and then he'll be sad whenever it snows
Nicole: Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh
Nicole: And he'll be a movie star so she'll have to watch him fake date other celebrities

Nicole: Bc his manager makes him and he thinks Annie doesn't love him anymore
Carol: no right before they rebuild their town

Nicole: Was Annie being poisoned?
Carol: or no cheese?
Nicole: To mimic the signs of cancer?

Carol: They're futuristic! They must have some cure?

Carol: he's a bad person, but not as bad as everyone thinks?

Carol: since he would actually speak out and give support (unliek katniss who just wants to keep to herself)
Nicole: uh and katniss' cat eats some of her food and DIES
Nicole: UH YOU REALIZE COIN IS DEAD, RIGHT?
Nicole: JUST CHECKING
Carol: yea
Nicole: It could be Plutarch Heavensbee who wants to keep Finnick in propos?
Carol: yes!
Carol: I can see plutarch doing it too
Carol: Can we involve haymitch somehow?
Carol: I don't like how he just goes back to a drunken stupor
Carol: It's like the author got lazy
Nicole: Well dude has no friends or family
Carol: and just went "and everything returned to how it was before"
Carol: he had katniss and peeta!
Nicole: And the author was trying to say, war is terrible
Carol: and he got kind of sober!
Nicole: Maybe he figures out the doctor is lying and shakes him up
Nicole: (about the cancer results)
Carol: Yes! And Annie looks like she is dying from all the chemo they keep giving her
Nicole: So Finnick pulls hella strings and gets Annie transferred to katniss' mom
Nicole: For doctoring
Nicole: But meanwhile
Nicole: Annie's kid challenges Finnick to a DUEL
Carol: LOL
Nicole: Uh unless not that much time has passed
Carol: since he thinks that moving her will kill her?
Carol: wait... whya re they dueling??
Carol: D-D-Duuueellll? or DUEL?
Nicole: Who knows man
Nicole: SWORDS
Carol: TRIDENTS!
Nicole: okay except I don't want them to be sad for like 20 years
Nicole: for the kid to be old enough
Nicole: so nix that
Carol: loool
Carol: they could lose the kid for a while
Carol: kid reappears 20 yrs later
Carol: ok I'm going to zone back into lecture. I just missed like 15 slides xDD Our prof talks super fast ._."
Carol: I EXPECT THIS FILMED AND IN PRODUCTION BY TONIGHT!
Nicole: Lol goodbye!
I can only assume that the kid ends up dying (finnick didn't want to hurt him, so Haymitch, like, threw a bottle at his head from behind or he had a congenital heart condition. it happens!), but that's okay, because he was brainwashed into a killing machine. And Annie and Finnick hung out with Katniss' mom from time to time, had more kids, and Haymitch switched from booze to cigarettes. I wonder if his currency still works with the change in government. I'm sure Katniss and Peeta take care of him regardless, so w/e.
I've also sort of decided 1D's Half a Heart is about Finnick and Annie JUST BECAUSE. I would also like to present to you, good people, the one and only fic I wanted and needed out of The Hunger Games fandom: Scylla and Charybdis. ♥
