Rose had had a good time on her date--that was her story and she was sticking to it. And, in truth, it wasn't so bad. They'd had dinner, gone to a show (it wasn't the first time she'd seen Wicked, but it was the first time she'd gone with anyone other than her mum), and he'd driven her home, and given her a good-night kiss.
She even considered going on a second date with him.
But, now, as she stood in front of the mirror making sure she looked all right, she realized how boring it had been. Well, not boring, but ordinary, and Rose Tyler was not one for ordinary. And she figured that the rest of the night would be anything but.
She checked her watch, then quickly popped back up to the Astral Plane to meet the Doctor, hoping that she wasn't going to be tied up and almost ritually sacrificed this time.
