He had been used to little surprises that came in life. The mushi, while most were documented, still managed to surprise all mushi-masters from time to time. So for Ginko, while he was relaxed, he still maintained an open ear and eye for any sort of disturbance that could capture his attention.
He hoisted his pack up on his shoulders so that it was resting more comfortably. The air was cool and the weather was cool that day. Pausing in his hike up the mountain side road he lifted his single-eye gaze to the clouds. The cigar hung loose from his lips, a thin trail of smoke dancing over his head.
Had anyone told him that day he was going to experiencing an out of body event he would have shrugged his shoulders and smiled a little. It sounded silly but his life was certainly filled with abnormal experiences, just not so much out-of-body. But when he plucked the cigar from his mouth to exhale the smoke he felt a sudden wave of emotion wash over his mind, a split second before his surroundings took on a drastic change in appearance.
Standing rather dumbfounded in the middle of the room that Box was in, the man blinked once, then twice, without even realizing that his cigar had slipped from his fingers onto the floor.
Box looked up from under the table where he could finally put his laptop to charge. Then he saw a strange man. A very strange man. Like, standing there. Where no one was a few minutes before. He didn't hear him enter either.
And he had white hair.
So Box, after a second of confused staring, screamed out loud.
"GHOST!" he shouted, and hit his head into the table as he scrambled out under it and get as far away from the man as he could. "You are the guy who got killed here?! You should move on, to Paradise, or Hell- wherever, you are already-- dead!" he said panicky, as he was backing up. "Or wait wait wait I heard you are weak against cellphones!" he panted and got his iPhone from his pocket, and holding it up as some kind of shield.
