Summary: Quite possibly the beginning of what could be potentially be a hilarious Gallifreyan arms race.

Kay strolled out onto the Plane, frowning as he checked the gauge on his Megasonic Destructor Array. The gun was heavy in his hands, weighing at least thirty pounds. As the name indicated, was meant to blast holes in objects via sonic waves.
Honestly, he just wanted to get some fucking quiet time with him and his gun, away from the invasion of the moment. His phone was ringing off the hook (if that's what you could say about an iPhone) with calls about the fucking Eldophians trying to kidnap another major political figure and to be completely honest, he couldn't give half a shit about what politician they wanted. The guy was just a mouthpiece like any other and the MiB had no obligations to the government.
Well, there was that one time, but that didn't count.
Feeling a touch too damn old, he sat down in the middle of the big vast nothing and started to disassemble his weapon. ...Maybe not "nothing", really. Those stars were definitely something. He rarely had those moments when he could stop and see them. Wonder about who could come from where and which ones had worlds. Distant utopias or war torn spheres that produced any number of magnificent and impressive life forms. Not that he would show how endeared he was to the idea whenever he was at work. But he really did appreciated the opportunity.
Holding the ammunition chamber, he sighed almost wistfully as he looked out upon those stars. Perhaps he should have visited more worlds. Taken more vacations. Taken better advantage of his youth when his youth was available to him. At least now by some stroke of luck, even if there was something fucking unsettling and unnerving about this place, he could get a damn good view when he wanted to.
