My birthday was nice, the morning and afternoon was fairly dull, but Chad came home and proved himself to be a doll, as usual. He took me out to dinner at this place in Kill Devil Hills on the beach, called Tortugas', it's a mix of Caribbean and Cajun food. It was fantastic. I got to have a wonderful drink, a mix of spiced and light rum, pineapple juice, and orange juice. It was glorious. Our waitress was cool, she brought me a piece of peanut butter/chocolate pie for dessert to celebrate. Overall, it was a great time. We had a deep conversation on the way home that was...unlike any other, I guess, but much needed.
