Yes, I am voting for John Kerry. Yes, i am voting for him because he is not Bush. I had a certain sense of hope and excitement about Howard Dean, whose bluntness I treasured. I had a faint sense of hope and excitement about Wesley Clark, whose values seemed estimable and whose innocence seemed fresh. I have relatively little sense of hope and excitement about Kerry. I miss Clinton, filthy as he was -- I did think he felt people's pain, and I assumed he was intelligent, and I knew he was not operating under delusions of being chosen by G-d, and I hoped he was not thinking like a soldier all the time.
I have literally been afraid to read the news since the last presidential election. It's been a nightmare. I cannot imagine any more repugnant fate for this country which i love than to be hammered under the canny, cynical, exploitative fist of the Bush2 regime for another four years. Please vote against him, no matter how boring you find John Kerry. Your life may depend on it. Your children's lives may depend on it.
