She was trying to avoid looking at that kitchen like the plague. He had gotten it repaired, but it was still embarrassing to remember how her food had ended up in flames. (Something about too much alcohol? e_e;)
The dinners are taken out of the plastic bag and set down onto the table with a pair of chopsticks with it along with some their favorite drinks. Everything is all set and she takes her spot right next to him on the sofa while glancing at the television while a sweatdrop rolls down her head from the parental question, "W-well, they're not home right now, and Shingo's over at a friends house for the night."
It was her way of saying, what they don't know right now won't kill 'em. "But I left them a note! So they know I'm out."
Way to go with being vague, Usagi.
