Ahhhhhh. Sunday.

I just made the BEST pot of coffee ever!  It is so smooth and perfect.  Warm and yummy (with a little vanilla caramel creamer added to it).  I needed it sooooo bad.  My head was ready to explode this morning.

The boyz let me sleep until 6 am this morning.  Which, I should commend them, but I didn't get to bed until after 10 pm.  Seems their max sleeping time is 8 full hours per night.  After that, they are up and raring to go.  So, I got up with them and fed, pottied them.  Because I was feeling like a$$ (mega headache), I attempted to take a nap on the couch.  Well, that doesn't work very well with a 1 year old adolescent puppy who thinks when you lay on the couch, it means that he can lick your face off.  I had to sleep there with a blanket over my face!  Off & on I napped until about 7:30.  They barked and whined in between my sleep stages.  But, at least my head felt a bit better when I got up.

Yesterday was a really fun time with my mom.  She got here around 10:45 am, and I was out walking Wally around the block when she arrived.  Papi kept her entertained until I got back.  We left for Wiscassett, which took about 45 minutes to get there.  Found the restaurant really easily, it's right off Route 1.  AWESOME place!  It has huge windows all around the waterfront and the view is gorgeous (especially now with the fall foliage).  If you are ever visiting Maine, you should definately travel Route 1 up the coastal region.  Definately stop at Sarah's.  Great cafe with a ton of choices.  Homebaked breads that are delish!  Here is a link to their website: www.sarahscafe.com/
We got there early enough so we didn't have a wait.  I had the veggie rueben.  It was yummy.  Mom got a roast beef matey.  She thought is was good and could only eat half of it because it was huge.  She had a haddock chowder too and loved it.  For dessert, I got the "Sinful" dessert... a flourless chocolate cake and it was superb!  Mom had the blueberry almond cheesecake.  I took half my dessert home because I was so full.  Had the rest last night for my dinner (healthy meal for a dietitian, huh?).

Anyways, after lunch, we drove to Damriscotta and went browsing around.  Went to Reny's (a Maine discount chain store).  Mom bought me a fleece pair of pj pants and a chenille hoodie.  We didn't find anything else we wanted to buy and mom was getting tired from walking (she has knee/back problems).  So, we headed home.  I got a friggin call from work while we were out.  Seems a dietitian consult (for a patient on IV nutrition) came in yesterday.  According to policy, they have to be completed within 24 hours.  Ugh.  Meaning, I had to go in last night or else I would have had to go in today.
So, mom & I headed home and she left shortly after I fed the dogs at 4 pm.  Then, I walked the boyz and they got to play with some of the neighbors dogs.  One of my neighbors has a 3 month old yellow lab puppy named Jack.  Wally & him had fun together.

Around 5pm, I loaded the boyz into the car (with their frozen yogurt bones) and we went to the hospital so I could get that consult done.  I left them in the car and they got to enjoy their bones while I went into work.  I was only there for about an hour.  But, at least it is overtime and weekend pay.  The boyz didn't mind hanging in the car waiting for me.  And, at least it got them out of the house so that they would sleep better last night.

I got home around 7 pm.  Watched the movie, Juno, which I adored.  Ate the rest of my dessert.  Folded laundry and called it a night.

Busy day yesterday.  And I never ended up getting any groceries or errands done.  Oh well.

P.S.  YAY REDSOX!!!!!  Game 7 tonight!!!!!!!!! :D  I tried staying awake in bed to watch it last night but fell asleep and woke up at 12:30 am with the TV on.  Totally missed the score until I got up this morning.  Gosh, I really wish they would start the game earlier.  Too late for this old fart!
