[ She's sitting at a table in the corner of one of the food courts, mumbling to herself: ] Right! Like Roxas said, There's definitely no harm in trying... [ And she puts Mr Mew-- her stuffed cat-- down on the table in front of her before taking one of the pins off her hat, clutching it tightly, a look of concentration on her face. ]Come on, Mr. Mew ( Read more... )

Well, he should have moved. I wasn't really expecting it to work here, though.

I see. Whatever in your world allows that to happen must not exist on this ship. [ something interesting to consider. ]

Yeah... It's that way on my world, too. Only under certain circumstances. I guess there's no real reason to keep it a secret, but it's sort of a long story. [ And some parts of it she doesn't really want to go into, but she's not too sure she wouldn't let something drop on accident... ]

If you don't mind telling it, I've got more than enough time to listen. [ he sits crosslegged on his end, not necessarily expecting her to speak over the network, but prepared if she will. ]

Well, um... it's sort of like an alternate dimension, I guess. There are these people called Reapers, and they grab people from the real world to play their Game. And even in the Game, the only way the pins work is if you have a pact with another player, and if you're fighting Noise, which are kind of like these monsters made out of people's bad thoughts. So there's not really any reason for the pins to work here. [ Although she does miss Mr. Mew. being able to move... he was a friendly companion to have, it was almost like he was alive. ]

[ he listens, attentively. hmm. ] I wonder what it would mean for here if you ever were able to use these "pins" you speak of. Are the players all brought unwillingly into the game?

You could return back, if you won, yes? At least that makes it different than here.

Well... I actually won the last round. I was supposed to go home, but... I ended up here somehow instead.

Yeah.

...Still, there's gotta be a way out eventually, right? Even if we haven't found it yet.

I believe so, as do most the passengers. We will find an exit, somewhere.
