The January issue of Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine is announcing on Saturday that Atsushi Ohkubo is launching a new Soul Eater manga series named Soul Eater Not! in the next issue. The new series will run alongside the main Soul Eater series on January 12, 2011.

Knowing Ohkubo and his love for offbeat English I don't think it's safe to judge anything by his titles for it. Although I admit that I am going to be disappointed if a spin-off with a name as hilarious as "Soul Eater NOT!" turns out to be a srs bzns prequel and/or sidestory instead of the crackfest that the title should rightfully imply.
