Non Sequitur
[edit | oh yeah, and i changed some of my icons for the first time ever. So if i stole one of yours, tough nuts... i mean, just tell me and i'll take it off and/or credit you]

It's been a while since I've last updated for real... Unfortunately, it isn't because I'm too busy to bother... instead it's because I have a distinct lack of things to update about. Boring, huh?
Ah, well, here I go (in no particular order or significance):
CSA dance was fun. Thanks to everyone who put up with my badgering for so long and came. X) Lord knows I can be annoying without a cause--give me a mission and I'm down-right insufferable.
I buy Dasani Sensations more often than I ought to. Honestly, I'm okay with tap but 1) I'm too lazy to fill up bottles with tap water and 2) Buying normal water is just seems wasteful. (Sloth and Greed duel often) So the result is water-downed Sprite w/out the calories. Not exactly the ideal solution, but that's life.
I have a new song for my site! How exciting. Utada's Keep Tryin'. Maybe I'll draw some motivation from it.
I rearranged my room (kinda), but had to unplug all the 10 thousand bajillion cords connected behind my desk. Upon re-plug-i-fication, I became suddenly mentally incompetent and technologically retarded and stuffed my ethernet cord into the phone jack... I'm still unsure as to why it fit, since they're SUPPOSED to be different sizes, but there you go. So there I was, @ around 1 or 2 in the morning, completely pooped out b/c my internet was gone. I felt like my baby died. Or my pacifier was taken away. In any case, I whined to Brian and he told me to do all sorts of stuff (B:"Unplug the power to the motherboard" S:"eh...Jigga-wha?" B:"It's double-rowed, 10 wires on each row, etc etc..." S:"eh...wha?" B:"....It has a lot of different colors..." S:"oooh, I see!") Long and uneventful story short, poor Brian had to deal with me even though he was trying to pull an all-nighter and my roomie finally clued me in the next day which plug to use and the army of clouds that seem to cover the sun retreated, the locusts died, Red Sea parted, plague treated and all was well again in Shirley-ville. The new layout is very comfy, especially for my tush when I'm in my eyes-glazed-over-watch-crap-on-computer-zombie mode.
People keep giving me pig accesories. Coinicidence? I think not. What are you people trying to tell me, EH?! Haha, nothing I don't already know...
I randomly stare off into space and channel old American movie classics (like the ones on Turner Movie Classics). I wish I lived in that era--or at least with the feelings, mood, and glamour(!) those movies portrayed. Who wouldn't want Rock, Gregory, Bing, Frank, Fred, James, Cary, Marlon, Jimmy, or Yul as her lead man!? They all just have a vibe missing from the actors now...
I have a e-mailed comic subscription to Pearls Before Swine. It's so cute it gives me a spark-o'-happy right at the beginning of my day (which is technically around noon, btw). On the other hand, my Dilbert subscription is starting to amuse me less and less...
On the way to Paul's from the crepe restaurant, my water bottle opened in my backpack. Liquid villainously infiltrated every single piece of paper. Oh, excuse me, I meant every single IMPORTANT piece of paper. All the useless scrap paper was untouched. Where's the justice in that!? When I felt the omnious wetness on my fingers as I brushed the bottom I heard Trang's "karma, karma" mantra on repeat. Even during our rescue mission (looking gloriously rediculous, I must say, digging out all the random junk usually housed in the depths of my backpack in the middle of the street). It also dripped a little on my pants so I looked like I had a freak "accident"... So now I have to buy new scantron sheets and my spiral notebook and planner are all both crinkly, slightly dyed blue, and completely UNACCEPTABLE. It was the first time I've used a hair-dryer in...[insert really, really rediculously long time].
I got into Honors. :)
There you go, a random sampling of what's been happening lately in epic story that is my life. Nothing particularly eventful/exciting/intriguing for others to read about, but I'm chill with it. :D
