Kokuritsu Concert 9/3

Sep 04, 2011 00:16

This is just going to be a quick rundown as I can't remember everything that happens in a concert, but hope that some of the highlights will be fun to read. They actually filmed this concert, so it will be on the DVD. (At least what I think because they had cameras everywhere. One real notable camera was near the center circle stage. it kind of was blocking my view at times. Also, they had tiny cameras on the moving stage as well as a stationary camera to catch the moving stage. I don't remember this many cameras when I went to Kokuritsu last year which brinbgs me to believe that this one was recorded for the DVD. But, I could be wrong...)

Edit: Just to let you know why I couldn't really see what was going on half the time especially when they moved around, I was in an arena seat. Sho and Ohno passed by my section in carts.

*Concert started on time. Just as they came out on the center stage, it started to rain. The rain stopped by the middle of the second or third song, but it was amazing timing. They danced Believe in the center stage with red and silver glitter outfits. After that, they moved around to the rising pillars and sang. They did their opening greeting here.

*Niji no Kakera was done on the front stage. It started out with juniors dancing, and then chibi version of themselves appeared. They danced around until Arashi came out. Later they each had 3 balloons that they released later with a whole bunch of other balloons. There was an Ohmiya moment where they faced directly at each other while singing and holding the balloons. It was really cute~. They were wearing a white outfit with rainbow scarfs.

*Love Rainbow was on the moving stage. Ohno and Jun were grouped together (on my side). There was a small camera on the moving stage, so Jun went to go wipe the lens, and then Ohno joined in to sing with Jun in front of the camera. They had water spouting out during Summer Splash. Very appropriate for the song. I always like that song during the summer.

*Hadashi Mirai was done on the moving back stage that went into the stands, and they sang with mic stands. After, they danced Crazy Moon on the way down.

*Jun's solo started on the front stage, and then moved to the middle stage. I must say, it was an interesting dance. He was wearing a kind of longish red shirt that was half unbuttoned from the bottom, and then near the end of the solo, he completely unbuttoned it. All fanservice I must say.

*Ashita no Kioku was on the front stage. I was a little surprised that they sang this, but it was good song because they had postcard pictures (Sorry, it gets a little hazy from time to time in my brain, but I think it was this song). After, they moved around the stages with Boku ga Boku no Subete and Hero.

*Janakute was on the back stage. He danced with the chairs. It was really a cute dance. The stage was really wet, so water was being kicked up as he dance which was really a good effect.

*Konomama motto was on the front stage. Sorry to all the Sho fans, but I don't really remember much about this song. All I know is that he had a hat on with a black outfit.

*I think at this point they were wearing a suitish outfit with pastel colored jackets of their color when they came out to to Everybody Zeshin. I believe it was this song where they came out from under the side stages and were marching during the entire song. Then came Kittou Daijoubu. I think everyone was moving around. There were times where all five of them were on different moving stages, so I couldn't really keep track of who was where. (Sorry >.<) Happiness ended in the middle stage where they moved into the MC.

*MC was absolutely cracktasic. I couldn't really catch the beginning of the MC, but they were making fun of Ohno having no shortened movements when dancing Believe. They also talked about Aiba making teru teru bozu to make the rain go away, but didn't have any effect. Aiba also gets bullied with his song title "Ja Nakute" because it literally means "that's not it." Then, Jun wanted to do something which they haven't done in 5-6 years, which was some sort of hide and go seek where someone is it and the rest of the members go hide. There's a can in the middle in which the hiding members have to catch in the middle of the stage Ohno lost the rock paper scissors so he was it. For about 5 min, no one came out, but they were trying to trick Ohno as to where they were with the mics. Then, Jun appears in the middle of the stage with a black bathrobe on. Next was Aiba who came out with a school girl outfit and a wig which was absolutely hilarious. Next, Sho came out in which he caught the can but was wearing black with a black hat. Last was Nino. Apparently, he was moving around the back stage. He initially was at the back stage, and moved left, and went back, and then came to the center stage. Ohno lost which they made Ohno do gags on the middle stage. Later, as Sho was talking on the front stage, Aiba had put on the previous outfit's jacket while still wearing the school girl outfit, and Sho commented that he felt like he was talking to some hentai.

*Rock this and always were on the front stage. They had an intro, and again with timing, it started to rain again. They had fire coming out of the top of the stage. I think the rain stopped by the end of Rock this. They had really cool backgrounds for Rock This which was in black and white. Always had pictures of them holding a flame of their color on the big screen, and then it all came together into one flame.

*Lotus was done on the center stage where the danced. No special effects. Just them dancing. After, they moved around for Beautiful Days. Not really a song I was expecting, but it was good live.

*Hung up on was done on the back stage. I must say, Ohno is a really good dancer. He had a slightly longer interlude for the dancing.

*Nino's solo was done on the front stage. He played his guitar. I don't want to say anything bad about this song as I really do like it, but I think he was just really tired by this song because it was really pitchy and his voice got lost for most of the song. I'm not sure if there was something wrong with the earpiece, however, he made a strong ending. I think he was kind of displeased at the end that it wasn't all that great, but he really did try his best.

*I don't remember where anyone came out from for Attack it, but it's always such an upbeat song that gets the crowd moving. Actually I think they were on the front stage for this because after Morning light, they went into their dance number. They really used the big screen well. They then sang Midaminu Sekai he with a futuristic background like Music station. They also had their faces appear if they sang.

*A day in Our Life, Troublemaker, Love So Sweet, Sakura Sake, everyone was moving around in 5 different places, so I couldn't keep track of who was where (Again, a bit hazy in the memory...). I think I had Aiba on my side. One highlight was that Sho tried doing a heart mark on big screen, but Ohno didn't really know which way to face in the camera in which prompted Sho to start swiping at Ohno. Ohno just sat there laughing. They all ended up on the middle stage for their closing greeting.

*Ok, I really don't remember what was said in the closing greeting at all (I was kind of tired by this point. Sorry >.<) But, I remember being moved by what Nino said which was "The beautiful world is the people around you." Oh, and Aiba commented that he might get punished by the Jimusho for his school girl outfit. Comments weren't really that long, but short and sweet.

*Hatenai Sora, they moved to the rising pillars where they had their own colored lights on the pillars. I just remember Sho couldn't let go of the handrail. His fear of heights still goes unchanged! They moved back to the front stage for Tokumade in which they had fireworks coming out from the top of the stage. I think there at some point there were postcards that people submitted. At the end, there were images of them putting together a collage of the post cards.

*Encore: They split up with Ohno, Jun, and Aiba, Sho, Nino on moving stages for Kansha Kangeki Ame Arashi and Natsu no Namae. Loved them because they were perfect summer songs, and they got the crowd really going. They met up on the back stage for Fight song. The groups did Janken in which the loser had the run up the stairs for the back moving stage. Aiba and Ohno lost, so they ran up the entire way. Carnival Night Pt. 2 was on the way down. Sakura Sake was on the moving stage where the met up on the front stage for the end. They thanked everyone for coming and exited.

*The cheers going into the second encore was really strong in which they came out again after a few minutes. You could tell they were extremely tired because when they were talking, they were huffing and puffing. They did a "pass the conversation" type thing which started with Jun and ended with Sho. Jun was saying "Despite the typhoon, thanks for coming." When they started to sing Gorimuchuu, it started to rain. Seriously, this concert, the timing for the rain was just absolutely spectacular because by the time they started sing 5x10, it was absolutely pouring. 5x10 was on the center stage. Jun said that they really wanted to give their thanks as they were going into their 12th year. I was absolutely speechless because they really sang their hearts into this song in the pouring rain. It was really moving. After, they went under on the center stage and it was the end of the concert.

Oh man, my brain is all fuzzy. If I have any mistakes, sorry. I got completely soaked while they were singing 5x10. The funny thing was that when the concert ended, it was pouring rain. When I had gotten out of the venue, it stopped raining. I swear there was some rain man tinkering with the clouds to tell it when to rain and stop.

Ok, time for bed because it's very late... past 12:30am (took me 2 hours to write on a very tired and hazy brain). This is all I can remember, so buy the DVD!

Thanks for reading!
