Eir's Tomorrow by Jukebox Hound
Fandom: FFVII
Rating: M (Mature)
This time-travel story is much more dramatic and heavy than most of the other ones. 'Eir's Tomorrow' is deeper, more adult and is much grittier than most other FFVII time-travel stories, it's also incredibly detailed, giving us insight into the everyday struggles of a time-misplaced Cloud and his awkward reliving of his life.
This story is beyond words. I could praise it all day long if I could find the right words to do it justice, but anything I say will not do this story the justice it deserves. It's the kind of story that stays with you long after you read it, and every time you re-read it you find yourself pulled in deeper and deeper, noticing things you missed the first time, or the second time, or the third time around.
I adore Cloud's mother in this story. there have been a few others in which she shines, but this story is just, well, amazing. I view this version of Cloud's mother as a kind of archetype, and she's the first version to have made such an impact on me.

Summary: The Planet isn't willing to let death take away its greatest weapon.
If Cloud can't save the past, then he'll be damned to watch history repeat itself.
If there's ever a time where I need to sink into a story to forget the world, this is it. It's incredible, amazing and simply perfect.
