Crossover Fandoms: Harry Potter / Stargate: Atlantis
Rating: M (Mature)
Although I adore the original Stargate series, I've never really gotten in very deep into the Atlantis portion of the fandom. I think I'm just too attached to the original SG-1 team. --laughs-- However, esama writes Atlantis beautifully, especially Ronan, whom I'm very, very fond of.
This takes place whilst Ronan is still a runner, and at some point he meets a Harry Potter who was not as fortunate as the canon version of himself. This Harry Potter was exiled from Earth, and ended up trying to survive on a distant planet - where he eventually meets Ronan.
The characterisations are brilliantly done, and the way the relationship unfolds between Harry and Ronan is original, gorgeous and wonderfully written. There's so much going on in this story - the plot is amazing, the scenes beautifully described, and the friendship that slowly blooms between Harry and Ronan is nothing short of a work of art. By the time things develop romantically between them, we're dying for more. As it is, esama's sense of timing is second to none.
