What I have been up to....

Let me see...
Seems a lot of my entries are starting of with that. I am having trouble remembering where I am as of late.
I am getting hours this week. Hurray!!!! Wednesday was my only day off. I headed down to the herb shop that morning. Wow!!! It is such a nice place and so close to work. Made a new friend while I was there. (die would have dug him...he is a Puppy freak!!) But he thought that my button of Kaoru was Boy George. SO, I quickly gave him a crash course in J-rock. I told him that I would pick out some things that I thought that he would like. So next week I need to head back down for more things, I will take it to him then. He was very nice.
My dad popped over that day too, to help me figure out what the F is wrong with Kitty. (he did not want me to be outside too long due to the way I feel.) Hey, 2 hands are better than one... Checked what I thought was wrong with her, but no...not it. defektiv it was not the belt we discussed. The power steering belt was loose. Tightened it, but kitty was still squeaking. Then we realized, dun-dun-dun, it is the speedometer cable!!!! So Kitty will live another day. Later in the evening I went to dinner with my mom and her friend Marco. He is a riot!! Seems that my mom is leaving on Tuesday for Denmark to visit her boyfriend...lucky girl. I wanna go where it is cold...
Yesterday was St. Pat's. I hope some of you got drunk for the right reasons. And here is my little rant about the right reasons...
You see being a Pagan Irish American kid, St. Pats is not my favorite "holiday" of the year. (quickly followed by Valentine's day, since people think that is the one day out of the year we should celebrate love...WHATEVER!!!) Now, granted, my father's family has been here since the 1800's...but they are my roots.
I am sorry, but I have a hard time celebrating a holiday where some English guy drove NONEXISTENT snakes out of Ireland. That is like saying that John Hathorne and Jonathan Corwin drove the witches out of Salem!!! Sorry this girl knows that there were never any snakes in Ireland. There never have been. So excuse me if I seem angry, but killing innocent people just because they don't practice YOUR religion is wrong!!!! So, when you are out getting silly because it is St. Pat's remember real Irish heros. Fionn Mac Cumhail(aka Finn McCool) and the Fianna, Michael Collins and men like like those of the Buckley Clan-who were banished from their homeland by the evil empire for teaching their own language and customs to their children. These are the people who you should be celebrating on March 17, not some old guy in a robe who supposedly did this great deed for the Crown. So with that I leave you this...
-May you be poor in misfortune,
Rich in blessing,
Slow to make enemies,
Quick to make friends,
But rich or poor, quick or slow,
May you know nothing
But happiness
From this day forth.

thanks for listening to my rant...now back to my post.

So instead of going down to the pub after work, I went to see my dear friends Tinsmith perform. They were at the Jammin' Java last evening. I have seen them play in a number of places. I think that I liked that one the best. Rowan and Brooke were very happy to see me. Brooke told me not to loose much more weight...as I would not have anymore curves. I told her not to fear, no matter how much weight I take off the hips will still be there (much to my shagrin...). Met Rowan's g/f, I LIKE her!!! She is very sweet. Very good time. I miss being on the road with them....

Got to leave for work soon. Think I am just going to come home tonight after work and chill here. I do have a lot to gather before heading to Pa. So if anyone needs me, you can call me here.
blessed day to all.
