"Why Must I Go to Hastings?" Roddy's last evening with His Bella

Dec 14, 2006 12:57

The evening was cool though truly warm for a November evening. The year was 1998 and Rodolphus was loathe to hear the news that his wife's disgusting little assistant had brought to him. He was to go to Hastings and hide out there, keeping his senses open for any news of Potter. He had all ready spent so long of this damned war away from His Bella and now he knew exactly why they would send them away... of course, he would never entertain the thought, not being a very good Occulimens and all, the Dark Lord would not be pleased to know that Rodolphus Lestrange did not want his wife, His Bella, fawning all over the Dark Lord in her crazed obsession! But no, he would not entertain the thought, instead he would go to Bella, he would be the man in the marriage and he would convince her that he would not be going to Hastings. In turn, she would convince the Dark Lord.

You and me
We used to be together
Every day together always
I really feel
I'm losing my best friend
I can't believe
This could be the end
It looks as though you're letting go
And it it's real,
Well I don't want to know

Don't speak
I know just what you're saying
So please stop explaining
Don't tell me 'cause it hurts
Don't speak
I know what you're thinking
I don't need your reasons
Don't tell me 'cause it hurts

Our memories
They can be inviting
But some are altogether
Mighty frightening
As we die, both you and I
With my head in my hands
I sit and cry

It's all ending
I gotta stop pretending who we are...
You and me
I can see us dying ... are we?

It's all for rot of course... Bella didn't want him around anymore. He asked pitifully, "Must I go...?" She simply turned and went back to the maps she was studying. Yes, he had to go. Not even his brother could stop the events - she hated him, she asked the Dark Lord, and so he would go.
