Parvati fell onto her sofa, exhausted. She'd forgotten how much your feet could hurtafter a day at the hospital. Not to mention your back, your shoulders, your hands...
Still, it was a good ache, all things considered. She'd fallen back into her routine so easily; and she realize how much of her sense of self had been missing when she had given this up.
Never again.
She decided to remain at home for the evening, and for once, it was a decision she could feel good about. She was not hiding, she was relaxing. She'd earned it.
She thought back to the night before. A night at the pub, old friends, casual conversation with a strange man.
She hugged it to herself, feeling immensely proud.
Yes, she'd earned a night of pampering.
A nice soak in the tub, a glass of wine, some music...
