A man comes to the door, selling a soot-suppressing potion, and Arabella buys some. Later, Caradoc comes for dinner and retrieves his house elf, Cai, who was helping Arabella settled into her new home.

Arabella owls Hermione Granger, enquiring about the animal shelter and Harry Potter.

After noticing some flyers offering help for odd jobs, Arabella writes to Dennis Creevey.

Visiting the animal shelter, Arabella meets Hermione and Mandy, is chosen by a kitten, and donates a large sum of money.
