baseball scoring baffles me
Ok, how winning pitchers in baseball games are decided is truly odd. Today Clement went 7 innings, gave up 1 run and left with a 4-1 lead. Foulke comes on in the ninth and gives up 4 runs, blowing the save. Varitek hits a two-run homer in the bottom of the 9th to give the Sox a 6-5 victory. And guess who got the win? I'll give you a hint... it's not the guy that pitched well.
Can any baseball fanatics explain this whackiness?
