...and I really hope its not a prelude to me being over the toilet soon, throwing up from the bug my sick daughter might have given me...
But I woke up a bit ago, went to the bathroom, and began burping... I drank a little water and took a naproxen (going for that anti=inflammatory thing), but an odd feeling in the throat is beginning to grow, so I think it is possible I will be in the bathroom soon... ::sigh::
No fever, except for that 'something creeping up your gullet' thing, I feel just fine. The doctor said this could manifest in different ways for different people. I really hope its just some gas from the warm Coke I drank not long before bed. We'll see.
For the record, the Munchkin is better, she pulled out of it yesterday. While not fully recovered she definitely improved a great deal, the fever disappeared and she acted much more like her usual self. There was no lying on the couch, covered up at all yesterday. The big thing today will be to decide if she is recovered enough to return to her summer camp.
Mom called me yesterday to begin to lay out plans for the holiday weekend. She wanted to take the Munchkin on Friday, have her home Saturday because of a party they are going to, and bring her back over on Sunday. This is because the party people have a dog. The Munchkin, thanks to my brother, is scared of dogs. Yet, when the Munchkin talked to Meema and insisted she wanted to stay over TWO nights, Meema folded in about 2 seconds apparently. In spite of the dog (and I'm told its a very nice dog) there would be other kids to play with and a pool to splash around in. ;) The Munchkin was told there is a dog, so we cant say she isnt forewarned.
Also, Guy's Mom called about the October Orlando trip for their Anniversary. They want to make reservations at the California Grill for that Saturday night, could I please confirm Mom & Dad are coming? Sure, I say, and what about my brother & sis-in-law & kids? Because I know they are planning on coming into Orlando that weekend since we will all be so close anyway. She replied they would like to keep it to them, her brother & wife & kids, us, my parents, and Guy's brother, wife and her parents. Now I am not offended by this, I just want to give them an accurate number of people to make reservations for!
Well, she emailed the next day, falling over herself with apologies, as that Saturday is also our anniversary, and it was thoughtless of her to exclude my brother and his family, etc... I assured her am I not offended, I only want her to have an accurate head count, blah blah... so I talk to Mom today, who based on a conversation last year with Guy's Mom already invited Matt and family. ::headshake:: So I email this information south, and then I look up the restaurant...
OMG... can we say FANCY? Far and beyond this girl's simple tastes. The only time I ever ate at a place like this was the time we went to New Orleans with Guy's parents and ate at some nice place in the Quarter! After checking it out, I call Mom back and advise her on price ranges, and we wonder if we even want to take four kids in there.... if the older niece is willing to keep an eye on things, I think they'd be happier in our room with some movies and maybe video games and room service bringing up some dinner. We are going to attempt to forward this plan with brother and wife. Mom and I are sure we can come up with a suitable bribe for the niece... :) That would also head off the whole 'kids in a fancy restaurant' thing, and we'd just be upstairs if we were needed. I think its a good plan, now Mom is going to work on it with brother and family. :)
