(no subject)
well here i am in sunny brisbane!!
hotel we are staying at is very swish!! 4 and half stars i think..its lovely!!
went and saw the beach on the river's edge..very nice! it even has a big screen tv over the far side so you can sit and watch the bloody cricket..the gabbas to the right of our hotel.
met some lovely locals the first night we arrived at a pub around the corner called the fox..they wanted to take us into the valley but i couldnt be bothered so we went to the casino instead.
hopped on a ferry yesterday and by the time we paid for our ticket it was time to get back off again.hehe
weathers mostly the same as it is in perth..although it was disgustingly muggy yesterday..lovely today - we just went and had a spa int he communal area..both times weve used it we have had it to ourselves so thats good.
not much else to repot..weve kinda just hung around the hotel as we are both knackered as!! they have a lovely area right across the road from us called the parklands - its kinda like subi but more laid back like freo. lovely cafe's and some nice pubs.
off to the gold coast tomorrow. we have booked a room for the next 8 nights so we can do the themem parks and travel around a little bit more. not much to do in brisbane. the train track is right behind our hotel and it gets reallly noisy about 6am. i guess the southbank here is much the same as northbridge. we are right across the road from the qld conservatorium, up the road is the museum library and some other place lol..
well gotta go need another tia maria :)
