I am not an interior designer. I never have been good at that sort of thing, but I try anyway. I need to stop trying.
This is my first apartment, so pretty much all the furniture was given to me or my roomate by family members. We were lucky (?) and scored a couch from her uncle. This thing is uhm... a conversation piece. It's from the 70s, with the wooden armrests and a nice.. bright.. lime green/gold color. I plan cover the thing in some sort of dark blue.. eventually... With that in mind, we bought a rug that seemed like it would go along with the greeny gold as well as the blue..
Boy, we were wrong.
At least the entire room clashes now, instead of just the couch.
