Incessantly empty,
the shudder of sugar
explicit in violence;
the taste of ovation
still ripe in your ocean:
a sea of tranquility
green and quite flaccid.
The sparks in the river--
the leaves in the current
all bend as it ripples
and drives for the brackish,
black swirling delta,
to crash through the border
and dance in their ecstasy
carried by water,
the silt and the salt
all rest into columns--
stand higher than buildings
grown out of the shallows
in grids of salvation,
while fish and all animals
criss-cross through the mercury--
all lipids and tallow.
They vibrate high frequencies
then bake in the oven;
their flesh once so slippery
now crisp and forgotten.
send me your prayers,
so I sleep in the garden--
swallowed by fertile brown.
ashamed of eternity,
and all that is under me!
drinking from nothingness
blackened and rotten,
while sweet-sour smells
emmit from my organs.
it beckons the roots to tap
through this silent being.
entombed all around by
soft, green, sappy garments.
