my life is ridiculous.
ok. sooo after freezing my ass off for most of the morning on the way to the XC meet in belfast, the first amusing thing of the day happened. the national anthem incident: what actually happened was, our bus was parked underneath the american flag (pole) and so we were chilling in the sun, listening to some hip hop, pretending we can dance, and all that fun stuff. and then we noticed EVERYONE was staring at us, i mean EVERYONE. and there were over 800 people there. we were all kinda like..what? and then becca got this mingled look of terror and hilarity on her face, and hissed "SHUT OFF THE RADIO." which we did, just in time to hear, "AND THE ROCKETS RED GLAREEEE". it was sooo funny. they had started the national anthem and we didnt know it, and we were RIGHT underneath the flag, playing some LOUD hip hop, and being obnoxious. tooo funny.
the second funny part of the day was when we went to subway and there was a gay guy making the sandwiches. and when i say gay, i mean fabulous/flambouyant. it was absolutely ridiclous. after ten hours, 4 giggle fits, and 2 sandwiches later, he FINALLLLLY finished williamsons and jessies stupid lunches. when we were sitting at the table mr williamson goes "i think he liked you jess". and thats when jess said, and i dooo quote "no, i think he liked YOU"oh god the hilarity if it. trust me you would have died. who knew you could have so much fun running XC?
