My happy ramblings on the latest Merlin
Just caught up with this weeks episode (damn Christmas party!) and I was delighted with it! The Arthur/Merlin this week was much better compared to the last few episodes. Their interaction was warm, funny, intense, powerful and wonderfully slashy, in short, perfect. Loved that Arthur listened to Merlin and took his advice. I'm afraid I had no sympathy for Mordred and the girl. She had to die for trying to kill the king, never mind her other crimes, although it was wonderful that he wasn't executing her due to her magic. Mordred should have realised how dangerous she was when she slaughtered the guard in cold blood.
I think I can take whatever the ending throws at us if they just stay true to the love and trust between Arthur and Merlin. I was so afraid after the last couple of weeks that this was going to be ruined but there is, perhaps, hope yet!
Also, poor Colin sounded and looked quite sick at certain points during this episode but Merlin riding with his blanket was the cutest thing ever - in the world!
