The house of the dead
Wow.....so after two years of feeling nothing but anger over Ianto's death I finally cried for him today. I think that play was what I needed, I had to hear Jack tell Ianto that he meant something - everything to him. I even feel that I might be able to watch old (never new) Torchwood without feeling anger and betrayal. The chapter can be closed knowing that Jack loved him, that he was perpared to destroy the world for his Ianto. Also knowing that this time it was Ianto's choice and his death meant something, eases the pain of loosing him all over again. It was so important to hear Jack greiving for Ianto and to know that out of all those who Jack has loved and lost it was Ianto he went looking for, it was Ianto he was suicidal over. I was heartbroken for Ianto in his confusion and fear when he found out he was a ghost but at least he was brave, oh and not a liar who lies.
Thank God for that play. I think I can finally enjoy classic Torchwood again and Janto again.
