today was the first day that i was fairly busy at work. sure, i always had something to do and i rarely slacked off (mainly due to the fear of termination during probational period!). a bunch of rush jobs came tumbling into our inbox and thankfully, most of them got finished! the work consisted of last minute ads, photo requests, and plenty of exchanging emails. whew!! it's a very tiring day but i liked the feeling of doing work. time just goes a bit faster, you know?
i even managed to take a quick stroll outside today. i saw some sunshine and couldn't miss out on it! i walked around by myself and found myself strolling into The Station and walking right into Jugo Juice. did u know they only have one size of drinks there??? u have to walk allll the way inside the little store before you can order and by then, i felt weird leaving so i decided to order. i got a mango magic classic smoothie for over $5. i was sooo full cuz it was sooo big. i drank it for the rest of the afternoon. i don't think i'm going to have another anytime soon. i'm looking for poutine though... waterfront centre doesn't have any kfc or bk or nyfries. hrm..
on a side note, the skytrain and bus rides have been fairly exhausting. i almost allowed myself to sleep a few times in transit... i don't get to leave work as early anymore so i find myself running to make that 5:30 bus by the skytrain. it's soooo not fun to run in heels. i really need to buy shoes. blah. pants too because my closet holds too many jeans and not enough work pants. oi.
..and the people around me haven't been so interesting lately either. i haven't seen the pretty hand boy this week at all. where did he go?? well, now that i think about it.. i guess there was this interesting guy beside me on the skytrain who smelled like fried chicken and trident strawberry kiwi gum mixed together... he suddenly decided to talk to me and tell me it was his birthday on thanksgiving and that he had 4 people call him and greet him happy birthday. he says he's very lucky to have those 4 people in his lives. he also told me that when he wins the lottery, he's moving to kelowna. he will also give some money to those 4 people in his lives, but not all of it. haha. this guy had spatters of paint all over his face, especially his nose. funny. i was actually a bit scared of this old-ish man at first but he wasn't all that creepy after all! so they say, never judge a book by its (smelly, spattered) cover!
