Tonight was absolutely amazing.
First my mom felt the need to take pictures of me while I was getting ready…
Then Aleah came to pick me up for the Oh My God show, and we stopped at Jenny’s.
Jenny dropped us off at the Masonic temple and we got bored and walked around the block for a while, and talked to Ig about myspace, and last year when my car got stolen, and the new album and whatnot. Then we called Chris and made him come out and we all chilled until the band played.
Oh, and Ig and Bish took a picture with us.
The show was great, as always. Aleah and I got to the front because some guy came up and had to fix the mic, and made all kinds of room for us. Through the whole thing we had eye contact with Billy and Iggy. Pictures from The Local:
So after the show, Billy comes up to Aleah and me and asks how the show was, and if we enjoyed it, and if we’d be going to the loft to see the next one. We told him we weren’t old enough and Aleah asked if he could ‘pull some strings’, so he took us upstairs and gave us a couple bottles of water and we came up with a plan. Then we went downstairs and helped load the equipment into the van, talked to Bish about Aleah’s Kanye West shirt and got the "what would I ever do without you guys?" speech and Jenny came to get us to get Aleah’s car. We drive out to the loft, and wait outside for Billy, and just when we thought he’d forgotten, or wasn’t coming out, he walks out singing “I would never desert you…” and told the door guy that we were with him, setting up. The door guy asks for ID’s and isn’t good with dates or pictures, because we all got in. Before he walked on stage Billy walked by Aleah and I and simply said “Thank god for door men that can’t read dates.” During that show Billy gave Aleah and I or “two beautiful ladies” a shout out. And asked us what to do when he had too much feedback. Speech on how now is now and this is now, and we’re all here in this moment right now, and now is then, but it’s now. Then he couldn’t think of what song to play, Chris wanted to hear volatile, so that’s what they played. Pictures from the loft:
After the show we bought “you’re too straight to love me.” And Ig thanked us for coming and told us to keep in touch on myspace or whatever. We went to say bye to Billy, and he gave us the whole “next time we’re in town, you guys should give us a call and we’ll go eat at like a Mexican restaurant or something. Here, let me give you a number…” so we get a paper and a pen from Ig and Billy entirely blows off to girls that were all over him, to write us a note. “Hi, I’m Billy O’neill (phone number) and I really like you a lot.” And he thanked us for coming and we laughed about the retarded door man one more time, and thanked him, and Ig for everything that they did for us. Then as Aleah, Chris and I were driving home, we felt the need to reflect upon everything that happened tonight…
Did I mention that the events of the night were amazing?
