Boo! Boo I say!
LiveJournal isn't having the "Give More" sale this year. Lame. As seen in the comments over here at news, people are not happy. I think they're going to lose money on this in the long run. I actually planned to to buy some paid account time for some people on my list. I'd still do that if they were having the usual sale with the userpic bonus. Alas! I also renew my own account during the "Give More" sale so that's almost $40 they lost from just one person.
In short, "Give More" was replaced with a $10 coupon you (as long as you have a paid account) can send to free/plus users. So they can buy a paid account for $9.95. You're giving more to pay for, but that's about it with this one, I think. I'm glad I bought myself an account for 2 months & don't think I'll be renewing it just yet. Or maybe I'll use Christmas money. If not, I'll just have to tolerate the damn pop-ups and ads.
