Well, I wrote a new song earlier.
I was thinking of the majesty of the Pacific Ocean and the first stanza of the first verse came to me, and then the rest just stemmed from that. Have me play it for you sometime. It's a piano song.
Looking out over the sea to the horizon.
Never wanting to leave this wondrous place.
Cause when I look out and see the glorious ocean,
I feel that I'm looking at Your face.
You always said that you'd be there for me,
No matter what may come my way.
Nut sometimes the hurt is all I can see;
Sometimes the pain seems here to stay.
Yet,
You are sovereign
Through all life's trials
You are sovereign, Lord
And though it seems that all is against me
I must remember that all is
In Your hands.
You never said that the way would be easy--
In fact you said it would be wracked with pain.
Yet when all my best intentions are foiled,
I feel that my walk has been in vain.
And then I look to the cross:
I see the man who died for me,
I see that He's taken all my dross--
This act was foretold through all history.
I see that,
You are sovereign
Through all life's trials
You are sovereign, Lord
And though it seems that all is against me
I must remember that all is
In Your hands.
So let us walk with confidence
Down this stormy road.
Though everything seems lost,
We are here by grace;
And in grace we will stay.
You are sovereign
Through all life's trials
You are sovereign, Lord
And though it seems that all is against me
I must remember that all is
In Your hands.
And that's that. I still have to polish the rough edges on the musical part, record it, and then send it to my new critiquer!!!
But that's it. It's been a while. Nice to be writing again!!!
