Guess Who Back!!!!!
SO, it's been a good minute since I've written a damn entry. But actually, it is not my fault, it's live journals fault. A couple weeks ago I wrote this long ass update entry after my birthday and homecoming weekend, but in a terrible mishap, the entry was lost. (Damn you live Journal) But anyways for your reading pleasure I will sum up those two events in one word each:
Birthday weekend: Spectacular!!!
Homecoming weekend: Meh
Ok so on to the present. This past week was fall break and I must say that I had a fantabolous time. I went up to Howard University to visit the older brother. Good times. So I will now commence with a recap of the Weekend.
Ok so Friday, I got on the plane and flew my ass to Wash D.C. After about 30 minutes of near panic at the airport because my brother didn't pick up the phone the first thirty times I called him, I reunited with my long lost brother ( and by long lost I mean not at all). Oh and might I add, I don't understand why my brother does not have a steady girlfriend or something of the sorts, cause honestly he's a really good catch. What's really good, there must be a hex on my family or something that says me and my siblings won't find a relationship till we're like 25. But anyways, after riding the metro we arrived on the campus of HU! I then met my brothers suitemates and we then played a game of questions, in which my brothes friends got totally smashed and we lauhed. Good times. Oh one more side note: The alphas at Howard University kinda like to be sexy, somehow I must get at one of them with out my brother objecting. hmm...plotting scheme....
Anyways, The next day, saturday, I woke up early and went to step practice with my brother and after that we went to a football game. I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the game. It was really refreshing to see a highstepping marching band, it's been suuuuuuch a long time since I've seen that. Thank You HU Marching Band!!!! Oh, and why did tweet, randomly, perform at the game, and AJ, from 106 and park was there too. And this was a low ass game. Damn, must be one of the perks of going to an HBCU.
So after the game, I went back to the dorm and took a 3hour nap because I was tired as all hell. After that I got up with my homie Angie and her boyfriend, Joe, who is probably one of the most sincere guys that I've ever met and we went to Adams Morgan for dinner. Man, let...me...tell.. you...I had some macaroni and cheese, whichI have been craving for like 3 months and I was in heaven. The shit wasn't even that good, but it was just real good to have some damn Macaroni and cheese (thats one thing that Duke is lacking in right now, but thats a whole nother entry). So Adams Morgan is like this cute little district in DC, that is lined with bars and restuarants and clubs with no cover charge (but u have to be 21). Very nice,I enjoyed. So after that, I chilled with Angie and got up with my boy Tim and then I went to sleep.
Next day: Sunday, I woke up around 1:00 and my lazy ass brother didn't wake up till around 4:00. Ummm...I think I chilled until late that night and dragged Angie out to the club with me, cause I refused to sit on my ass while in DC. So went to the club, twas cool. Went home, then slept.
Monday: Got up with my friend Drew, and went to the end of my brothers step practice. Then packed, chilled, went to the mall and went to sleep. Woke up at 4:30 in the morning to catch the metro and get on my 7am flight. Then I was back on this here campus. Okay, this is where I will stop the entry cause I'm tired ass hell even though there is much more to tell. But I will leave you with a few teasers: I 'm taking another trip to the HU in a few weeks!!! And I have yet to speak on my academics. Ohhhh the anticipation, I can't wait!!!
Peace
