I've finally found the missing scene fic that I'd been wanting for last week's episode. And I'm not surprised at all that it's by annundriel--her stuff is always gorgeous, frequently very hot, and definitely insightful. (If you love McGee/DiNozzo and/or Arthur/Merlin, be sure to check her out, too.)
There's Not a Step We Can Take That Does Not Bring Us Closer is Dean/Castiel, NC-17, 5500 words. Very definitely spoilers from 5.03 "Free To Be You and Me". If you've seen the ep and are into Dean/Cas, you know what it's about. Castiel's point of view, and she does a marvelous job of combining his innocence with his otherworldly knowledge while never ending up too far in one or the other. I especially loved this because it's got a gentle sweetness to it that I rarely see in this pairing, without being saccharine.
