So this year for
yuletide I wound up writing in a fandom completely unknown to me when I signed up. I matched on Miracles with my requester (
sailorhathor), but while I had several ideas, I was worried I wouldn't be able to finish in time. Out of curiosity I decided to watch the movie she'd asked for in one of the other requests:
John Carpenter's Vampires: Los

I did a poll on my journal a long time ago asking how old everyone thought Natasha Wagner was in that movie, and the average answer was 19. She's in her 30's! What magical Botox injections has she had?!! Stand back, her face could blow at any minute. O_o
I love how touchy-feely Derek is at times. How he holds Ray's hand while he's dying and gives Rodrigo that big ol' hug at the end. (Ray was from Memphis, so they do call him Memphis a lot. Did you realize that the actor who played Ray was Eddie from "Family Matters"? O_O Erkel's nemesis, lol!)

LOL! The director wanted to put those words on the promotional poster, but of course the studio said no way. XD
What I really love about this movie is all the little things you notice once you watch it more than once. The characters just had more and more friendship chemistry for me the more I watched it, and lots of stuff got funnier and more endearing. Not to mention the fact that I've loved Bon Jovi and horror movies since I was 11; it was an irresistable combination. Then my slash goggles got involved... :D

Yeah, she looks a lot younger than her real age, but I don't think she looks particularly botoxed or anything. Just good genes.
I love how touchy-feely Derek is at times. Mmmm, yes. You get the feeling he's a really sweet guy, even if he professes to be a loner.

AHAHAHA! That's great. Hee.

*nods* It's easy to miss a lot of that the first time around, with all the vampire craziness. I really got the feeling the four of them could make a nice little family in the future, which is why I liked the movie so much. :)

Yes. I love the personality the script and Jon gave him. Cynical and pessimistic, but behind it all, very caring.
