Oh, I love this. Keras was so smitten in Childhood's End and yet there simply isn't enough Keras/Sheppard fic.

And the last line is just so, so cool and the perfect closer:

Keras stops looking. Now, he sees.

I just love that. That's the kind of juxtaposition that makes me very, very happy :)

Oh, I'm glad you liked it! I actually have something else that I was writing specifically (it's nothing extraordinary, just a tiny J/R/T), but I got distracted last night doing research. See, Childhood's End is on right after Suspicion, and well, who can resist Keras' crush?

The lack of Keras-fic in this world is both sad and perplexing. I don't think any alien priestess/princess ever fell for Sheppard harder or faster than he did.

Thanks for the story! -- though I admit, my disbelief at Keras' canonical insta-recovery from a *chest wound* still inhibits my full appreciation.

I think in the sequel Ares confesses how I Was Just So Jealous OMG.

Childhood's End was the first ep I ever saw, and I knew there was a fannish buzz about the show, so I kept trying to figure out if Keras was going to be a recurring character. He was just so obviously in love with Sheppard, I figured that was what all the slash was about!
