So I just had to talk to this uber-official government lady for a background check on my roommate who is up for a job in National Security. How wack is that. I guess they have to background check all his roommates too. Funny. She had to show me her badge and everything.
So, it looks a little better of a possibility that I could have a friend to move into an apartment with, though he is also interested in the Sherwood Co-op (basically a commune house) and is going to check that out, maybe do an interview there first. So, now, if Tom decides to live with me, all I have to do is find an apartment that we can afford and find someone else to sub-let my room. I don't really know how to do the last bit, especially because most of my roommates don't know that I am planning a getaway, and also I feel that I would have to first ask them if they had any friends looking for a place before I went and threw some random person into my room. That might not be too cool.
So, we'll see what develops...I hope Tom decides against the Sherwood place, or else I could be S.O.L.
