While getting to the goal is the fun part, acheiving a goal where the odds are against you, is the fearful thing. So many unanswered questions.
As for storybook moments, I'm more talking about companionship than anything.
The perfect romantic date where everything goes right.
Seeing the look on her face after I propose.
Finally, who doesn't want a movielike wedding? It doesn't resemble a movie anymore than having the singer/band sing the song that you and you're soulmate dance too.
But if you're looking for concrete examples, I'm talking about the surreal moments you see occurr in books like The Notebook and The Alchemist or movies like Serendipidity or any Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan movie.
Forrest Gump even comes to mind. While Forrest continued to succeed, he remained with his feet on the ground and with Jenny in his thoughts his whole life. He kept cutting that lawn, and kept being there for the ones who he loved (bubba's family, his mom, Lieutenant Dan, and Jenny). Jenny randomly entered his life in spurts for 20 yers, until.. well you know the rest.
Living a life like Forrest would be a dream.
One of my favorite movies of all time. THAT'S how i want to handle success and romance. Like Forrest did.
Like I said, I totally dig the last track.
