It's oh so quiet . . . it's oh so still . . . you're all alone . . .
hey, where is everyone? Spend two months in the mountains and all of a sudden everyone's gone when I come back!
Anyway I started my new GED Class this week, and it went really well, mostly. I did this ice-breaker activity where everyone had to write three things they are proud of on post-its, then wear the post-its. Then they had to mix around and read each other, and if it was something they liked, they could take it and add it to their collection. Lastly, we all read out the post-its we ended up with, and whoever wrote it could claim their accomplishment. It was really beautiful, and really the most open I've ever gotten a GED class before. I felt like crying at the end because it was so beautiful and so hopeful and the vibe was just amazing. Here's to making it last a whole semester!
