i really hate everything about stealing.  i hate that someone was watching me, peeping in the window while i worked, waiting for me to step around the corner to the recycle bin, in order to sneak in and steal my bag (which was stuffed under a desk to begin with).  creeper

who do you bank with? i used to work at TCF and we didn't charge that much for a debit card! i'm a big proponent of credit unions because they're non-profit organizations so they don't have an incentive to screw you over.

actually it was service credit union! and contrary to their name, their service si not so great. but i have interest-bearing checking, which is pretty hard to come by these days.

alhtough the interest is probably outweighed by the cost of a new card!

oh, for sure.

but good news: your & nikki's condemning the charge made me feel supported in my own thought that it was wrong, so i called and got them to reverse the charge :-)

i also mentioned that a charge like that is taking advantage of people who are probably already upset and worried about other things that are more important than a $9 charge, however unfair the charge may be.
