(no subject)
So after a really long morning, Brad gets home and we both took a nap together. How nice is that? The weather's really been crappy (gray and cold...and all the trees look dead) and I get to just snuggle with my hubby and pass a couple hours asleep with him. He was even sweet enough to make me pancakes for dinner (for some reason I CRAVE his pancakes at all hours). Anyway, while I was asleep I got to thinking about how things 'used to be' *sigh* Ft. Walton had its moments, man. I miss it. This place we've only got a few people we can call "friends" (and they live a long way away), so it just sucks. And there's nothing really to do around here. I know FWB didn't have really anything "to do" sometimes, but at least Waffle House was open 24/7. I miss the beaches and the atmosphere. I miss just going to Rhegan's for the weekend (sort of) or just for a party. I miss going out with Ryan to the skate park to watch he and Dud ride. I miss, what could've been "our hangout" Helen Back's (their pizza's so great). Dammit, I miss the Rave movie theater...and the mall...and so, so much. I really miss how everyone used to be...before things got all sorts of fucked up. I'm sure that I'll get to go back some day, but by then I'll have a child of my own and it won't be the same to just drive out to Destin with "nothing" to do...or just to go out to the beach at o'dark:30 to stare at the moon and run in and out of the waves...I really miss Florida
