Such consternation.

How I wish that I could simply throw this journal into the lake for the Giant Squid to eat. Unfortunately, that would likely lead to indigestion on the squid’s part, and a great deal of disgust on mine in the aftermath. I prefer not to make myself suffer any more than is completely necessary ( Read more... )

The question, darling Tracey, is whether Padma Patil and I ever actually were. Consider the fact that I spent more time studying for NEWTs than in her presence - and I haven't a clue what she was doing the majority of the time. But I think we had that particular conversation.

Thank you, I do try to be an amiable sort of drunk, when the need arises.

And I'm quite glad you didn't go to Beauxbatons.

Were we meeting sometime today to go over Muggle monetary systems - or was that last weekend?

You did, however, give yourselves the titles of boyfriend and girlfriend, and so, to the eyes of the public, you were.

Still, it would seem that you're better off. You should drink more often. Actually, I find you more amusing sober, and if you were always so pleasant, I would tire of you quickly.

And why is that?

It was tomorrow, actually, but if you're so desperate to meet with me, I'm sure I could free up some time.

Ah, they eyes of the public are so easily deceived, are they not?

So it would seem. It is my single purpose in life - to amuse you. Perhaps I should try, then, to be less pleasant.

If you had, I would be unable to experience your dazzilng beauty and superior intellect.

Would you really? You're far too kind. How does later this afternoon sound?

Very easily.

I doubt that you really need to try, Ethan Leland.

Your drunken compliments can almost compare to Andrew's when he's sober, which is just as rare as your sobriety, as of late. Or perhaps he was drunk at those other times. You know Gryffindors.

Fine.

As I thought.

You raise a good point.

You know Andrew...Kirke? My brother pulls pranks with him...and such.

Lovely.

Andrew is the only tolerable Gryffindor I've ever met. He's like a puppy. It's unfortunate that he can't have a good influence on your brother.

No one could have a good influence on Adam. It's the failure of my life.
