She should be scared but she wasn’t. Nomadic my nature, staying at one place was difficult for her. Kate had to get out of the castle, even if there were monster snakes and who knew what outside was roaming around outside, she did know there were also monsters on the inside. Generally easy-going the entire plague changed her, the way she thought about life, not the way she was wired. As she spend those hours out in the boundaries of her world, she missed the island as stupid as that sounded.

Based on Juliet’s example; Kate didn’t climb the trees ... for now. She needed to see Jack, not in that desperate I’m in love with you, but the desperation wondering if someone you loved were still alive. Kate loved Jack and she always would. She didn’t think there would ever be anyone she’d love like she loved Tom. But there was, in fact she’d loved three more men. One she married, one was getting married and the other ....? The other one, he was the difference. Kate realized of all them she’d been in love with two. The first was dead, and it was Kate’s fault.

The second, she would find eventually, confident in the fact that she could move forward. First she needed to clear her head. Packing a bit more fire power than usual, Kate left the castle.
