Wow. I'm absolutely floored that I was asked to do a tutorial, but most certainly glad that my icons are loved enough for people to desire one. ;D But without further shocked!mumbling from me, I give you the tutorial.

Onward ho! )

I followed it nicely... up until the brush part! Ack, I've never understood how to use brushes... Could you enlighten me? *pleading look* ^^;

Sure! Do you know how to install them, or where are you confused?

I don't know how to install them... nothing at all about what to do with 'em! ehehe.. ^^;; (And I use Paint Shop Pro 7, btw.)

Hehe, alright. Well, depending on the program, you'll do different things to install a brush. Since I rarely make icons in PSP anymore (I think that's the program you use), you'll want to check this tutorial out for information on installing. Also, with PSP make sure you're downloading IMAGE PACKS, as PS brush files won't work with your program.

From there on, it's just experimenting. Usually, in PSP, to center an icon brush I open up a new, transparent file, click the brush onto it, select all, and paste as a new layer on my icon. This will automatically center it, as PSP isn't the lovely goddess like PS and doesn't have an outline of the brush.

Hope this helped, and if you need more information, feel free to ask. :D

question: Should the image be bitmap, or jpeg, or what?
