and i don't understand what is clean about tattoos in general. i think it is a cultural thing. i was brought up knowing that tattoos are against my religion, and even though i'm a non practicing (for all intents and purposes) jew, to me, they are still a big no-no. plus, i can't figure out why i'd want to put something on my body that will be there forever!!!
that said, that tattoo is very very pretty. and i do recognize tattoo as art- there are some VERY talented artists out there.
It's a cultural thing in some cultures, for the typical American I think it's just more of an expression thing. Also, tattoos are no longer 'forever' if you don't want them to be. They've been safely removing them for nearly 10 years now. Most people who wouldn't consider getting a tattoo don't consider them real art either, I'm glad you're an exception to that.
And yes, I am planning to get a large one, though hers if you look at all the photos she has wraps over her right shoulder and then around onto her stomach on the other side, and that's too big. But in order to get everything that I want into it without having it look cramped, it'll have to be relatively large. Probably the width of my shoulders and a then down a bit.
Yep, I went last night and bought this huge book of plants with color photos. I have an idea of what I want I just have to map it out and get everything in the right spot. It'll take a few weeks but I'll definitely put up the sketches.
