List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. 1) "The Kill" - 30 Seconds to Mars
This was one of my breakup songs last year and it helped me out a lot. "You say you wanted more, what are you waiting for? I'm not running from you." The lyrics to this song get to me hardcore. The drums are great and I love everything about it. Just listen to it. Watch the music video. Something. DO IT.
2) "No Bravery" - James Blunt
I liked Mr. Blunt before "You're Beautiful" was overly popular and played to death. I really like the lyrics to this song and the sound of his voice. The lyrics to this song just make me think about a lot of things. Okay, I just love his voice.. sue me.
3) "Winds of Change" - Kutless
This song is amazing. I love Kutless and this is one of my favorite songs by them. I feel this song when I listen to it. The lyrics move me and it's an all around wonderful song.
4) "Bring the Rain" - MercyMe
A very good worship song. The lyrics ring very true for me and I want the words of this song to be the way that I live my life. Whatever comes in and out of my life, I want to praise God through it all. "Bring me joy, bring me peace. Bring the chance to be free. Bring me ANYTHING that brings you glory"... This is a good song to cry to.. but in a good way.
4) "Do I Make You Proud" - Taylor Hicks
I love him, what can I say? I will probably like every song this man releases, but this really is a good song. I feel inspired when I listen to it and I hope one day I can honestly feel what Taylor sings about. Listen to my American Idol, guys!!
5) "Lips Of An Angel" - Hinder
I l-o-v-e this song so much. I don't much about this band, but dude's voice is amazing. The lyrics are AMAZING and the music is good. I love a good, emotional rock ballad every now and again. Listen. "I gotta whisper cause I can't be too loud..."
6) "Liquid" - Jars of Clay
This song makes me emotional. It's the type of song that will get stuck in your head, but that's a good thing. The drums are really awesome, too. If there were no words and just music to this song, i'd be perfectly satisfied. Oldie but goodie.
7) "Strength Of My Life" - P.O.D
The reggae feel of this song makes me giggly. I really like the lyrics (can you tell I have a thing for good lyrics..?) and the message behind the song. It's almost empowering in a sad, simple kind of way. I really like anything by P.O.D though, so who knows. I love it. Happy song.
I'm not going to tag anybody either because I want EVERYONE to do this.. i'm curious to see what songs everyone else is into right now. :-)
