events and happenings:
- this friday i leave for north carolina. i'll be there all weekend, hanging out with some southern type people. maybe i'll find a bar down there, grab some drinks etc. i'll have to find some way to occupy the time in between my cousins high school graduation.
- tattoo appointment after i come back from the south. pretty stoked on it. it will be sweet.
- been reading a lot of henry rollins work lately. honestly one of my favorite authors as of late. real good work. pick it up, read it. you won't regret it.
- busy as fuck with work. what else is new right? if you know me, you know the type of schedule i work. long day, even longer hours. feel like a god damn machine most times. constantly at work all the time. i feel like i never leave. this sort of shit constantly grinds on you, wears you down. the weekend is your chance to live again. freedom. rebirth. until you have to head back to the never-ending grind that is work. a friend asked me one day "how do you do it?" i said, "do what?" and he replied back "work a 9-5 job?". my answer was "i've been doing it so long, it's like second nature. it's just normal to me now." i think i need a vacation. it's long overdue.
