today was the first funeral i attended to that i actually know the person who died.
ive been to others but never really knew them or it was just for support.
yesterday and today opened my eyes a lot about life.
people actually die.

to be exact it was my great grand aunt that died. i don't know but i just called her "tia chicha". she must have been the most optimistic woman i have ever met. she died at 86 years old yesterday morning. this lady has lived her life to the absolute fullest never complaining along the way. and everyone admired her for that. she's traveled all over the world by herself after retiring. she did everything she wanted and loved life sooo much.

this lady raised my grandmother when my grandmother's mom died. she made my communion dress. she made laugh. she made me happy. she played dominoes better than any other person. she was an amazing person.

i honestly didnt know how to deal today. the look on everybody's face when they closed the coffin killed me inside. death is a difficult thing to understand. its part of life. but it makes no sense to me right now. everyone tells me she's in a better place and i know she's with god but it didnt make me feel any better. all i know is this lady is my role model for life. and ill never forget her.

R.I.P.
