ok so tonight i found out that wanda jackson, who i have been obsessed with for the past month or more, is going to be playing a show at old ironsides in 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the weekend of the 23rd is going to be amazing.
friday=smiths tribute night!
saturday=robs birthday party!
sunday=FUCKING WANDA JACKSON!

the smiths tribute is friday feb 23rd... i think its at blue lamp. this charming band, a smiths tribute band, is going to play. it is going to be fun!!!

I tell ya I love Wanda Jackson's music. I have seen her a few times at Bimbo's and a few times at rockabilly weekenders...but sadly she is kinda an old racist. One at a show in holland she said...it's so nice to play a show where all I can see are nice white faces. She also talks about God a lot...and elvis a bit. I guess it's to be expected of an old school southern lady. But still a bummer.
