movies etc
-went to see Little Children this past sunday, and i liked it quite a lot more than i expected to. the theater was full and if i had gotten there like 5 minutes later i probably would not have gotten in. crazy. the music kept me on edge throughout, which is probably what it was supposed to do. or else the crest has shitty sound. also upon reviewing my amazon wishlist the other day, i discovered that i have had the book in my wishlist for a long long time, yet completely did not realize this while watching the movie.
-watched Little Miss Sunshine last night, and brian and i both loved it. i fell in love with Olive within the first 5 minutes. i laughed a lot and i almost cried a couple times. if you have not yet seen this movie, you should probably go rent it right this second.
-watched Clerks 2 the other night, and it was pretty funny. i hardly remember the first clerks, but brian said he liked the first one better. we decided there was a little too much music to distract from the simple storyline, even though the random choreographed dance sequence was a pleasant surprise. also i loved the super dork, elias, he cracked me up.
-watching King Kong right now, i have already seen it, but it came free with our hd player and brian has not seen it yet. i still like it, but it is also still really long.
-we have been watching carnivale (slowly) and i like it, but i still havent quite figured out what the hell is going on. only 2 episodes per disc, so watching it via netflix is a little frustrating. plus i try to mix it up with movies here and there so we dont get bored of watching the same show every day, but i am to the point where i pretty much only want to watch carnivale so i can figure out what the shit is going on. anyways, dont tell me anything, we just finished watching episode 6 of the first season. do not ruin it for me seriously.
-going to see Children of Men this thursday, hopefully with a bunch of cool people. i think we will be going to the 10ish pm showing at the century on ethan. so excited!
